18 hour party people
My day:
Got up at 7am, nervous about speaking at Flashforward.
Spoke at 9am. Not a lot of laughs from the crowd. Are my jokes too nerdy? Are they hung over? Both? Fortunately, they seem to love my code (which isn't even really mine, just the sum of my research into other peoples' work -- fully credited of course!) when I finally get to that part.
Whisked away for a podcast at 10:30am. Talked way too long, but hopefully said something worthwhile.
New demo reel for Metaversal completed. Watch it now. It rocks harder than I ever imagined it could.
Stuff like the new demo reel totally re-energizes me, realizing all we've managed to do in the last 3 years, even if it's been uphill all the way, and not the party we expected.
Speaking of which? Disney throws a pretty great party. Bowling, free drinks, lots of food. Tomorrow they're having a job fair, and if anyone from Disney even looks at me with interest, I may have to submit a resume. And then convince them to open a Boston office and adopt the Metaversaliens, since I can't very well leave them behind.
On a non-Disney note, BIG. EXCITING. MEETINGS!
Can't talk about them here yet, but just you wait!
Kathleen and I have vowed to attend every 9am session of FlashForward this year; we always sleep in at least one morning. But now it is 1:30AM and I am still up, and K hasn't even gotten home yet, so we'll see how that goes!

Jay, I met you right after your conference and I had asked many questions but I wanted to know if you would share your presentation content so that I can get the full reference of your key points!
I have started a list of the sessions that I personally attended and plan to add it information about those that I did not attend as well.

It's posted in the conference session directory mentioned in my speaker notes, so you can download it since you attended the conference. For everyone else, I'm reworking the notes and expanding them to post on FlashHateYou.com next week. Thanks for coming to my talk!

Thanks for the reminder Jay, it was exactly where you said it was! I will wait till you make a public post before linking to it from my blog. I'll keep checking in and thanks again for all the great work!
