$ for ¢

Okay, here's the thing: Although I'm running a game design company and teaching full-time at Northeastern University, I have, like most artists, a seriously negative cashflow.  This is mostly because any extra money that I have (besides the little bit I responsibly save every month) goes in to funding new projects, or paying off old projects.

The thing I need to buy more than anything else right now is time, which of course isn't actually something that can be purchased.  But, as they say, time equals money, and with a little more money, I can spend a little less time worrying and a little more time creating.

So, if you think anything I'm talking about in this blog (or on my main site) sounds like something that deserves further development, go ahead and send me a tip using the handy-dandy "$ for ¢" tip jar link in the lower left of every page.

I've suggested $2.03 because that is the price of "Great One" Coffee at my nearest Dunkin' Donuts.  I actually never order anything larger than a medium ($1.77), but the typepad's "tip jar" mechanism won't accept less than $2.00.

More to the point, it's you supporting me for the price of a cup of coffee -- less than one if you're the Starbucks sort! And rest assured, any amount that is contributed here will go directly to the projects I'm working on.  The habit you're feeding is the art, not the caffeine!
